These terms explain how Wedding Journal works, especially plans and payments. Please read them with our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Wedding Journal is provided by TQTECH SRL (“we”), Str. Oțelarilor nr. 17, Galați, România, Romania, Trade Register no. J2026039450005, CUI 54928770, e-mail support@tqtechsoft.com.
2. These terms and Apple's terms
You download Wedding Journal from Apple's App Store. Your licence to use the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add the rules for our online service, plans and payments. Purchases are also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. By creating an account or buying a plan you accept these terms.
3. The service
- You need an account (Sign in with Apple or Google) and an internet connection to sync.
- Each wedding has one owner (who created it). The owner can invite a partner and, with a separate code, a Helper (read-only). A Helper (read-only) can view the wedding but can't edit it or see financial details or plans.
- One wedding per couple member: an account can be the owner or partner of one wedding at a time, and a Helper (read-only) in any number of other weddings. To start a new wedding as owner or partner, first leave or delete the one you're in.
- You must be at least 16. To buy a plan you must be able to enter into a contract or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
4. Plans and prices
| Plan | Price* | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | €8.99 per month | An auto-renewing subscription. Renews every month until cancelled. |
| One-time payment | €59.99 once | Unlocks one wedding for good. No subscription, nothing renews, nothing to cancel. |
*Shown in the App Store in your local currency (in Romania, in lei), including VAT where it applies; may differ by country. Apple, as the seller, charges your Apple Account. We may change prices for future purchases; for an existing subscription Apple tells you before a price increase and, where the law requires, asks for your agreement.
5. A plan belongs to a wedding
- A plan unlocks editing for one wedding, for everyone in it. Only one person pays.
- One plan per wedding. While a wedding has an active paid plan, the app will not let anyone in it buy another plan, and it tells you who already pays. The only exception: the person who pays monthly can switch to the one-time payment at its full price (no proration); Apple does not stop the monthly subscription by itself, so cancel it in your Apple settings.
- Apple's limits apply: one Apple Account can hold one active monthly subscription of Wedding Journal at a time, and can buy the one-time payment once. A one-time payment stays with the wedding it was bought for; it can only be moved (with Restore) if that wedding has been deleted.
- A plan can't be shared through Apple Family Sharing; it is shared through your wedding instead. Only the person who paid can manage or cancel a subscription.
6. Free periods
6.1 Free trial for new weddings. Creating a wedding starts a 7-day free trial. You don't give payment details and the trial never turns into a paid plan by itself. There is one trial per person: if you delete and re-create a wedding you only get the days left of your 7-day window. Joining someone else's wedding doesn't use your trial. A wedding's free trial or free period is always set by the account that created it: when you join your partner's wedding, its dates apply to both of you. When the trial ends the wedding becomes read-only (§9) until the owner or partner buys a plan.
6.2 Free period for existing users. Paid plans begin with the Wedding Journal 1.3 release on the App Store. Weddings of accounts created before that release stay fully free through 31 October 2026 (end of that day, Romanian time). An existing account that had no wedding and creates its first one after 31 October 2026 gets the normal free trial (§6.1). If you delete a wedding that was still in this free period and create a new one after 31 October 2026, the new wedding does not get a new free trial or free period: it starts read-only (§9) until you choose a plan. Export what you need before deleting a wedding.
6.3 Choosing a plan during your free period. You can choose a plan at any time. During the free period of §6.2 you can choose now and confirm later: your choice is saved and nothing is charged. After the free period ends the wedding is read-only until the person who chose confirms the plan with Apple — Apple charges when you confirm, and a monthly plan renews on that day of each month. You can also pay immediately; then the paid plan starts that day and the remaining free days are not added. The same applies if you buy during a free trial.
7. Monthly subscription
- Charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. It renews automatically every month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the app (Settings → Plan → Manage subscription). The wedding stays unlocked until the end of the period already paid.
- If Apple can't collect a renewal, the wedding stays unlocked during Apple's billing grace period (16 days) while Apple retries. If the payment still fails, the wedding becomes read-only until the payment goes through; the person who pays should update their payment method rather than buy again.
8. One-time payment
One payment unlocks editing for that one wedding for as long as it exists and we provide Wedding Journal. It stays with the wedding even if the person who paid leaves or deletes their account. The person who paid can restore it on their other devices with Restore.
9. Without a plan your wedding is read-only, never deleted
Everyone in the wedding can still open, read, search, share and export (PDF) everything; you can't add, change or delete wedding content until a plan or free period is active again; you can still manage your account, leave, or delete the wedding or your account. Editing comes back for everyone as soon as the owner or partner buys a plan, or confirms the plan they chose during the free period.
10. Refunds and withdrawal
All payments are made to Apple, and only Apple can issue refunds (reportaproblem.apple.com). In the EU you may withdraw within 14 days as set out in Apple's Media Services Terms, which explain when that right doesn't apply. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, the wedding becomes read-only unless another plan or free period applies.
11. Leaving, deleting and ownership
- Deleting your account or a wedding, or leaving a wedding, does not cancel a subscription with Apple. The app warns you first. If you don't cancel, Apple keeps charging you and the wedding keeps the plan for as long as it is paid.
- A one-time payment stays with the wedding it was bought for.
- If the owner deletes their account: a wedding paid for by another member passes to that member, who becomes the owner; otherwise the owner chooses to hand it to a partner or delete it; if only Helper (read-only) members would remain, it is deleted.
- The owner can't delete a wedding that another member pays for, but can hand it over to them.
- If the owner removes the person who pays (or makes them a Helper (read-only)), the plan keeps covering the wedding until the end of the period already paid and then ends; the person who paid must cancel their subscription with Apple themselves.
- Handing a wedding over creates new invite codes.
12. App versions
Plans and some features need a recent version of the app. Older versions may stop being able to save changes; your wedding always stays readable and exportable, and updating the app restores editing.
13. Notifications
With your permission we send notifications about your plan and payments and summaries of changes made by others in your wedding; you can turn them off in Settings → Notifications. News and offers are sent only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time in the app.
14. Your content
Your wedding content belongs to you. You allow us to store, process and show it only as needed to provide Wedding Journal to you and the people you invite. Make sure you're allowed to add other people's details (such as guests). Don't use Wedding Journal for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms; where we can, we'll warn you first and keep your data exportable.
15. Changes, availability and support
We work to keep Wedding Journal available but it may occasionally be unavailable. If a change makes the service meaningfully worse for you, we'll tell you in advance; if you pay monthly you can cancel. If we ever stop providing Wedding Journal, we'll give at least 90 days' notice in the app and let you export your data. We (not Apple) provide support: support@tqtechsoft.com.
16. Liability
We provide Wedding Journal with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if the service does not conform to the contract, or our liability that cannot be limited by law.
17. Terms required by Apple
These terms are between you and TQTECH SRL, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for Wedding Journal and its content, maintenance and support. Your licence is non-transferable and limited to Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by Apple's usage rules. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, handle claims about the app (product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, intellectual property). You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on a U.S. list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts. Please contact us first; you can also use the Romanian consumer authority's alternative dispute resolution service (ANPC – SAL, reclamatiisal.anpc.ro).
19. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
